ALUMNI GENERAL INFORMATION The Alumni Advisory Board is a council of former Communication students who meet twice a year to advise the Department of Communication on matters of career education for students, alumni relations, development issues, and fundraising. It started an Endowment for Excellence Campaign and has worked with the department to initiate several endeavors. The members of the Alumni Advisory Board have also volunteered to be contacts and resources for anyone with questions about the marketability of a Communication degree or with a need for advice in matters associated with communication. Endowment With state funds becoming ever scarcer, the university must look to outside support to maintain this level of excellence. The department and the Alumni Advisory Board have determined they must be the decider of the department's fate; thus, the decision was made to start the Endowment for Excellence which will produce in perpetuity income to support students, faculty and special projects.

Communication Alumni Connection Established in 1996, the Alumni Advisory Board provides information and resources for current and former students about careers, internships, and alumni-related events. We have a very active board that meets bi-annually to host career activities for students, to support an Endowment for Excellence Campaign, and to network with alumni of the Communication program.
