LIBRARY
LIAISON INFORMATION
The graduate student library liaison is his/her personal
contact in the library. If there are any library questions,
needs or problems, notify your library liaison and they
will help you as much as they can!
Ordering Information
- Books, Videos, CDs, and Audio Tapes
The library liaison places firm orders from catalogs,
reviews, and other sources, and also fills out faculty
requests as received. This includes fulfilling special
needs such as out-of-print materials, microforms, journal
backfiles, and rush requests. He/She works on the Library's
approval plan for the subject area, including reviewing
books as received, requesting duplicate copies as needed,
and dealing with other collection management issues.
Providing
Library Instruction
Classes (undergraduate or graduate) can be scheduled through
the liaison for orientation to germane library resources.
Graduate students may also arrange individual sessions
with the liaison, either for library orientation or in
regard to specific research problems.
Consulting on Library
Resources
Faculty may call upon the library liaison for assistance
in designing library assignments. Faculty members are also
welcome to contact the liaison for library orientation
or assistance with research problems.
