COMM 280: Communication Careers (Held in the Spring)
The purpose of this course is to encourage communication students to begin thinking about and planning their careers and life goals in their academic studies so that they can make timely decisions related to course study, acquisition of marketable skills, pursuit of relevant experiential education, and participation in student/professional organizations and activities. The course will acquaint students with the realities of the world of work they are likely to experience upon graduation and for the foreseeable future. Emphasis will be placed on identifying available resources and utilizing these resources on a timely basis in order to be competitive in what promises to be a tough job market for at least the next ten years.
