Marketing and Communications Manager
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
Jessica is the Marketing and Communications Manager for ABS, the American Bureau of Shipping, in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1862, ABS is a leading international classification society devoted to promoting the security of life and property and preserving the natural environment through the development and verification of standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine and offshore assets. In her role, Jessica is responsible for developing and implementing corporate marketing and external communications activities in support of the business objectives. She assists in the development and execution of marketing and communications programs, leads the corporate brand efforts, runs the company store, coordinates marketing and communications activities between Corporate and regional Divisions, and serves as global events advisor.
Previously, she served as Marketing Communications Manager for OneSubsea, a Schlumberger company, where she was responsible for executing the marketing communications strategy globally, as well as building brand awareness through a targeted and integrated marketing plan. She drove marketing activities and campaigns—from scope to execution—for new product launches, media/editorials, client events, advertising, tradeshow exhibitions, online content management, multimedia, literature and presentation development, and social media. Jessica also led the Marketing Committee for the Subsea Services Alliance, formed by Helix Energy Solutions, OneSubsea and Schlumberger, to develop technologies and deliver equipment and services to optimize the value chain of subsea well intervention systems.
Prior to that, Jessica was Strategic Marketing Manager at Clariant Oil Services, responsible for developing a consistent brand identity for the Oil Services business line worldwide, and for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to support regional and global objectives. She received her LeanSigma Green Belt after developing the organization’s product launch process for new and innovative technologies.
While at Texas A&M University, Jessica held the position of Vice President of the Texas A&M chapter of the American Advertising Federation and was a Section Editor for the Aggieland yearbook. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys traveling, Aggie football games, golf, and spending time with friends and family. She is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Business Marketers Association, and The Association of Former Students.
