|Patrick Burkart is Editor in Chief of Popular Communication: The International Journal of Media and Culture. His latest book, Pirate Politics: The New Information Policy Contests (MIT Press, 2014), explores the rise of the European Pirate Parties and their contentious politics surrounding copyright reform and global information policy. Dr. Burkart has researched and taught courses in communication and media studies in Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. He is Conference Manager of the 2015 Global Fusion communication conference at Texas A&M University.
